It’s all in the name when Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka needed a name for his newly formed company, he adapted a classic line that summarized his philosophy. ‘Anima Sana In Corpore Sano’ is Latin for ‘a healthy mind in a healthy body’. By combining the initials the name ASICS was born. Not many people know this. And although not every communication is suited to explain this, wherever it is possible we should do so. Inspiring to move Essential to Mr. Onitsuka’s drive was his belief that movement leads to the development of a healthier body and that a healthier body is the cradle for a healthier mind.
