In 2002, long-time friends Dennis Calvero and Robert Panlilio founded clothing and lifestyle brand Crooks and Castles. The co-founders wanted to create a lifestyle brand that was reflective of their personal lives and experiences. Through their iconic images of the medusa and Mickey Mouse hands flipped into an "Air Gun" play, Crooks and Castles have built an empire on altering high fashion and well-known logos into a brand for the streets. Throughout the past decade, Crooks and Castles has become a popular brand amongst rappers such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, 50 Cent, P. Diddy, Ludacris, Young Jeezy, Meek Mill, Wu Tang Clan, Rick Ross, Nas, Big Boi of Outkast, Fabolous, among many others.
