Stussy originated in 1980 by Shawn Stussy through the surf culture of Laguna Beach, California. Since then the lifestyle brand has become an icon in the street culture community and across the globe. The "scrawled" Stussy logo was based on its founder's signature that he marked on handmade surfboards. When Stussy began screen printing the 'scrawled' logo onto t-shirts, the brand was born.
